ReadyHalden Office SupplySample data, fictional

Rendered from the template's own layout with made-up numbers for Halden Office Supply, a company that doesn't exist.

What it answers

  1. Are we ahead of or behind target this year, and where exactly?
  2. Which region carried the quarter, and which one quietly didn't?
  3. Who's on track for their number, rep by rep?
  4. Which products and which channels does the revenue come through?
  5. How is one rep doing, month by month?
  6. What do I show in Monday's sales meeting without rebuilding a pivot table?

What's in the file

SheetWhat it does
Read meWhat it is, the plug-in steps, a guide to each tab, compatibility, licence and support.
SettingsYour company's name, an annual target for each of twelve reps (with their region) and an annual target for each of four regions.
DataOne Excel table, SalesData. 600 sample transactions from January 2025 to September 2026, for a made-up company called Halden Office Supply. Gross profit is a formula column.
ListsThe names the file recognises: four regions, six products, four channels, the years and the periods (full year, halves, quarters, months).
DashboardPick a year and a period. Revenue, target, attainment, margin and units, then revenue by region against target, a ranking of all twelve reps, products, channel mix and a 12-month trend. Five charts.
Rep detailPick a rep. Revenue, target, attainment, rank, margin, products, channels and a monthly trend, with two charts.
Format.xlsx, no macros, sheets unprotected. Plain formulas, no pivot tables or slicers, so there is nothing to refresh. Reads up to 3,000 sales lines.

Plugging in your own data

Export your sales lines from the CRM, webshop or invoicing tool, then:

  1. 1

On Settings, type your twelve reps with their regions, and the annual targets for reps and regions.

  2. 2

Rename the four regions, six products and four channels to yours on Lists.

  3. 3

Paste your sales lines over the sample rows on Data. The Dashboard reads down to row 3005.

  4. 4

Choose the year and period on Dashboard, and a rep on Rep detail. Delete the sample labels when you're done.

  • Plain formulas only (SUMIFS, INDEX/MATCH, LARGE). No pivot tables, no slicers, nothing to refresh, so it behaves the same in Excel for Mac.
  • Built for up to 3,000 sales lines. Beyond that, the Power BI Sales kit is the better tool.

Built for the versions marked ✓. We check every file before it goes on sale, but we haven't tried every setup. If something doesn't work in yours, tell us and we'll fix it or refund you.

Probably not for you if

  • You want a pipeline of open deals and stages. This looks at sales already made.
  • You sell in several currencies and need conversion. The file assumes one.
  • You have more than 12 reps, 4 regions, 6 products or 4 channels, or more than 3,000 sales lines. Those are the slots the layout is built around.

Questions people ask about this one

Do I need to know pivot tables?

No, there aren't any. Everything is ordinary formulas, so there is nothing to refresh. Paste your rows, pick the year and period.

We don't have regions. Can I use something else?

Yes. Region is one of four slots on Lists, so put channels, countries or shops in it and rename them.

Can it take a CSV straight from Shopify or our CRM?

Open the CSV, arrange the eight columns the Read me lists in that order, and paste. Column names differ between tools, so expect to rename some columns. Region, rep, product and channel names must match Lists and Settings exactly.

Can I show it to clients?

You can send them the charts or a PDF of the dashboard. The working file stays with you unless they buy their own licence.
